Company OverviewTaylor Hopkinson have partnered with a leading renewable energy developer focused on delivering large-scale offshore wind project in Korea.Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Technical Director responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of offshore wind projects across the full lifecycle. This role requires strong coordination with other internal functions including Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Commercial, and Stakeholder Engagement to ensure alignment and delivery of project goals.Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage all technical aspects of offshore wind projects including foundation design, grid connection, and installation methodologies and so on.
  • Working closely with the Supply Chain Management/Procurement team to align technical specifications with sourcing strategies, vendor selection, and contract negotiations.
  • Coordinate with the Stakeholder Management team to integrate permitting, regulatory, and community considerations into technical planning.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with leading EPCs, contractors, subcontractors, and fabrication yards in the Korean and global offshore wind markets.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the technical team, fostering knowledge transfer and capacity building.
  • Cooperating for EPC bidding process, including bid evaluation and technical/commercial negotiations with suppliers and contractors.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering subject, or equivalent.
  • Over 15 years experience in the development and construction of large infrastructure projects, preferably within the offshore wind or renewable energy sector, with a strong track record of success.
  • Strong leadership and coordination skills, with proven ability to collaborate effectively across functions such as Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Commercial, and Stakeholder Engagement.
  • Great to be familiar with FIDIC/EPC contract structures.
