This role can be based in either Gyeongsangnam-do, South Korea or Seletar, Singapore and will focus on supporting manufacturing processes and continuous improvement initiatives across our supplier base.You will provide technical support to manufacturing operations, ensuring processes meet our safety, quality, cost, delivery rate and lead time objectives (SQCD). This is a vital role in maintaining the high standards of Rolls-Royce products and in enabling our suppliers to deliver Right First Time.Rolls-Royce Power Systems is headquartered in Friedrichshafen in southern Germany and employs around 9,000 people. - Provide technical support and execute manufacturing engineering (ME) activities to develop and improve supplier manufacturing processes.
- Ensure all supplier manufacturing processes comply with Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) standards and align with the Zero Harm programme.
- Ensure processes are capable of achieving and sustaining design definitions, and investigate and resolve product safety issues rigorously.
- Champion a culture of zero defects, promoting quality standards across suppliers and ensuring compliance with Rolls-Royce Manufacturing Systems (RRMS), SABRe, Export Control and IP requirements.
- Act as a technical authority within the scope of delegated responsibility, including as a Manufacturing Engineering Authority (MEA) or PCA signatory where applicable.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, digitalization and technology implementation in external manufacturing operations.
- Plan and manage manufacturing improvement activities including scheduling, resources, cost, risk, and stakeholder communication.
- Develop and validate robust manufacturing processes using data to measure and enhance performance.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering Commodity Leaders and Process Owners to align processes with best practice and standardization efforts.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing, lesson capture and cross-functional collaboration to drive continuous improvement across the supply base.
- Support and coach internal and supplier teams to enhance technical competence and capability.
- Build strong working relationships with external partners and suppliers to achieve engineering objectives.
- A degree in Engineering is preferred.
- General understanding of key manufacturing processes relevant to aerospace or complex mechanical systems.
- Awareness of manufacturing systems and software tools used in modern production environments.
- Knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering processes and methods of manufacture.
- Experience supporting or managing external suppliers is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving, project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
