- Geography or account based scientific experts in assigned territory covering an assigned therapeutic area that is responsible in the execution of the Medical Affairs
- Plan(s) for pre-launch and/or newly launched products/indications.
- Possess extensive scientific expertise in their designated therapeutic areas and are responsible for providing crucial scientific support for AstraZeneca's assigned molecules to Health Care Professionals (HCPs) and Key External Experts (KEEs) and are instrumental in fostering scientific partnerships within major hospitals and institutions in their assigned territory.
- Operates with in-depth understanding of the patient journey and its associated requirements within their territory bridging the gap between local and national product strategies.
- Embed a comprehensive healthcare system understanding with a 360 view of the entire healthcare ecosystem within every responsible HCO (Healthcare
- Organization), aiding in a holistic approach to patient care. Acts as catalysts, with a deep understanding of the localized health system (environment, priorities, clinical pathways, patient journeys) and its challenges, to gather insights and execute according to the medical strategic plans to deliver strategic, scalable & sustainable clinical practice transformations, enhancing access to equitable quality care for patients and enabling the adoption of our innovative medicines.
- Demonstrates a profound scientific understanding of diseases in which AZ has products or products in the pipeline, continually monitoring global clinical trials to advise on product development and emerging clinical progress.
- Provides the medical community with access to the latest scientific and medical information, responding to off-label queries transparently and based on objective scientific data.
- Possesses extensive knowledge of clinical practice across various therapeutic areas, identifying unmet needs in the patient journey, providing insights, and advancing medical communication.
- Proficiently addresses scientific questions, facilitating deeper understanding among healthcare professionals.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or working toward a professional qualification (science/medical related)
- Language: Fluent English communication is preferred
- Work Experience: MSL experience more than 1-2 years is preferred, experience with cardiovascular, respiratory, or infectious disease is preferred
