- Strategy & Framework Development: Design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive data retention audit/monitoring framework considering policies, procedures, and guidelines that align with legal, regulatory, and business requirements.
- Compliance Monitoring: Establish and manage continuous monitoring programs to ensure adherence to data retention policies across all systems, applications, and data repositories.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with data retention, including legal, reputational, and operational risks. Develop strategies to address potential non-compliance.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Lead internal compliance monitoring related to data retention, prepare detailed reports on compliance status, and present findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Tooling & Technology: Evaluate, recommend, and implement tools and technologies to automate and enhance data retention compliance monitoring, including data mapping, inventory, and disposition solutions.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner closely with legal, IT, security, privacy, and business teams to ensure data retention requirements are understood and integrated into business processes and system designs.
- Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of data retention compliance specialists.
- Regulatory Intelligence: Stay current with evolving data retention laws, regulations, and industry best practices globally, ensuring the framework remains up-to-date and effective.
- 10+ years of experience in data governance, data compliance, or information lifecycle management, with a strong focus on data retention.
- Demonstrated experience with global data regulations and industry-specific data retention requirements.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing robust data retention compliance monitoring programs.
- Strong understanding of the verious data types such as financial, legal, compliance, business data.
- Excellent understanding of data management principles, data architecture, big data platform architecture , and enterprise IT systems including email, chat, wiki, ticket systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex legal and regulatory requirements into actionable policies.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- End to end E-commerce industry experience.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with data discovery, classification, and retention is a plus

- This is a full-time regular position and includes 12 weeks of probation period; provided, however, the probationary period may be either skipped, shortened or extended if necessary for business purposes.

In such case, within fourteen (14) days from the date of identifying the receipt of the request, the Company will send the hiring documents to the job applicant's designated address via registered mail. Please be informed that the job applicant is required to pay the postage on the registered mail.
- In preparation for a job applicant's request for the return of hiring documents pursuant to the main sentence of paragraph 2 above, the Company shall retain the original hiring documents submitted by the job applicant for 180 days from the completion of the recruiting process. If no request is made until the end of this period, all his/her hiring documents will be destroyed immediately in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act.
- The above paragraphs 1 - 4 shall only apply when the labor-related laws of Korea govern the application. They are otherwise not applicable.
