Join Coupang now to create an epic experience in this always-on, high-tech, and hyper-connected world.Role OverviewCoupang is looking for a Principal Social Media Management to develop and execute social media strategies, create engaging content, manage social accounts and campaigns, analyze performance data, and build brand awareness, loyalty, and achieve business goals.What about the team?Coupang's Global Communications team is a diverse group of international marketing professionals with diverse experience in branding, advertising, media, TV/video, events, design, and more.What You Will DoKey responsibilities include content planning, campaign management, performance monitoring, and staying updated on social media trends.
  • Strategy Development: Create and implement social media strategies to align with overall business objectives.
  • Content Creation and Curation: Develop, schedule, and publish engaging content (text, images, videos, blogs) across various platforms like LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and more.
  • Campaign Management: Plan and launch social media campaigns to increase audience size and engagement.
  • Brand Reputation: Partner with Coupang's brand ambassadors to post authentic employee content to build long-term reputation.
  • Performance Analysis: Track and analyze engagement metrics, and other data to measure campaign effectiveness and identify trends.
  • Trend Monitoring: Stay informed on new trends, algorithms, tools, and best practices in social media.
  • Reporting: Generate reports detailing performance insights and recommendations to management.
Basic QualificationsThe role of Principal Social Media Management is an important and integral part of the Global Communications team as you will work in a diverse, fast-moving and agile team.As you make this role your own you will also grow in this position and career with expanded scope and new projects at Coupang. Below are some of the things you will need.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, Communications, or equivalent background
  • 10-15 years of experience and transferrable in digital marketing, content creation, campaign management, and data analysis
  • Proficiency in social media platforms and tools
  • Native English speaker bilingual Korean. Chinese is a plus

  • A content creator: Strong storytelling, writing, and visual design skills to create compelling content.

Document Return Policy * This notification is given pursuant to Article 11 (6) of the Fair Hiring Procedure Act.
  • A job applicant, who has applied but not been finally selected for a position at Coupang (the “Company”), may request the Company to return his/her hiring documents submitted pursuant to the Fair Hiring Procedure Act. However, this will not apply where the hiring documents were submitted via the website of the Company or e-mail, or where the job applicant submitted those documents voluntarily without a request from the Company. In addition, if the hiring documents were destroyed due to a natural disaster or any other reasons not attributable to the Company, such documents will be deemed to have been returned to the job applicant.
  • A job applicant who wishes to request the return of his/her hiring documents pursuant to the main sentence of paragraph 2 above should fill out a “Request for Return of Hiring Documents” [Annex Form No. 3 in the Enforcement Rule of the Fair Hiring Procedure Act] and submit It by email (recruitingops@coupang.com). In such case, within fourteen (14) days from the date of identifying the receipt of the request, the Company will send the hiring documents to the job applicant's designated address via registered mail. Please be informed that the job applicant is required to pay the postage on the registered mail.
  • In preparation for a job applicant's request for the return of hiring documents pursuant to the main sentence of paragraph 2 above, the Company shall retain the original hiring documents submitted by the job applicant for 180 days from the completion of the recruiting process. If no request is made until the end of this period, all his/her hiring documents will be destroyed immediately in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act.
  • The above paragraphs 1 - 4 shall only apply when the labor-related laws of Korea govern the application. They are otherwise not applicable.
