They are seeking an accomplished Country Manager – South Korea to lead all business activities, project execution, and strategic growth across key energy and infrastructure sectors.Role Overview
We are hiring for a high-impact Country Manager – South Korea to oversee our client’s operations, project delivery, and long-term growth strategy in the country. This role will lead cross-functional teams across development, EPC, and grid connection, while managing key relationships with regulatory bodies, industry partners, and investors.
You will be accountable for business performance in Korea, spearheading project execution, identifying new growth opportunities, and representing the organisation in both industry and governmental forums. This is a pivotal leadership position for someone ready to take full ownership of a national business unit.Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic leadership for business operations in South Korea, ensuring alignment with regional and global priorities.
  • Oversee and support the Development, EPC, and Grid teams in delivering complex renewable energy projects on time and within budget.
  • Drive business development efforts, identifying new commercial opportunities across renewables, data infrastructure, and emerging sectors.
  • Build and nurture senior-level relationships with government authorities, investors, project partners, and community stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage annual and long-term budgets, driving financial performance and cost efficiency.
  • Lead talent development efforts within the Korean office, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Represent the company at major industry events and in discussions with regulators, investors, and joint venture partners.
  • Support market expansion efforts through strategic analysis and proactive positioning in Korea’s evolving energy landscape.
  • Act as the key liaison for all regulatory matters, ensuring compliance and efficient project permitting.
  • Ensure smooth issue resolution, communication flow, and stakeholder satisfaction during all stages of development.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of senior leadership experience, ideally within renewable energy, utilities, or large-scale infrastructure.
  • Proven success in delivering complex projects and leading cross-functional, multicultural teams.
  • Strong familiarity with the South Korean market, including regulatory frameworks, permitting processes, and local industry dynamics.
  • Prior experience working within an international business environment is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Law, Construction, Project Management, or a related field is required.
  • Fluent Korean language skills are essential; proficiency in English is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen and a strategic mindset.
