Join Gilead and help create possible, together.Job DescriptionSpecific Responsibilities and skills for Position *This position is accountable for local medical research projects and its data generationAbility to plan and execute local medical research from study and publish the data from the researchBuild capabilities for local evidence generation and establish local model for local medical research and data generation with collaboration with global stakeholdersLead and point of contact (PoC) for all local medical research projects for internal and external stakeholders. May be the PoC for ISR and Collaborative studies for external and internal stakeholdersAct as PoC of Korea medical for global research team for development of local/regional/global research and operation modelPoC for global publication team and RWE for all local publications including ISR and PMSClosely collaborate with TA medical leads in generating local medical research and publication strategyAccountable for local medical research planning (e.i., phasing, budgeting etc.) in POA with close collaboration with medical TA leadsKey focused therapeutic area (TA) is Virology. Flexibility is required for potential support or expansion to Gilead’s TAs outside of Virology as per business needsDepth of understanding of each TA and whole Korea medical team’s financials and ability to quote estimated amount for local medical research projectsIn depth knowledge on the Gilead’s focused TAs and its market environment especially on data gap is essentialCollaboration with local Clin Ops especially for local study execution. Act as internal expert for local Clin Ops in area where local Medical-Clinical collaboration is requiredPotential critical hub to communicate with global Medical Research organization to reflect local needs into Integrated Evidence Plan (IEP)Provides or support training related to medical research to internal colleagues on demand or proactively, if neededEssential Duties and Job Functions *Reporting to Country Medical Director, Korea Medical AffairsMay visit OLs of TAs with Korea medical team to better understand TA-related environments and unmet medical needsVisit and discuss about local medical research project, ISR, and Collaborative studies with investigatorsAttendance to internal meetings and trainings related local medical research, local data publication, and IEPAttendance to internal medical TA trainings and scientific conferences as requiredMay able to participate in cross-functional meetings to understand market environment and unmet needsParticipate external trainings related to local medical research execution and environment changes including Claim data generationExcellent project management and organizational skills, including the management of multiple prioritiesMust be committed to continuing education to maintain role related up-to-date knowledge including operating environment changeKnowledge, Experience and Skills *Conduct of a study experience from study planning, designing, and publication is mandatedKnowledge on local medical research execution processes is mandatedParticipation and experience in Claim data generation is highly preferredPublication experience of local medical research is highly preferredExperience in leading or supporting Korea PMS, ISR, and other types of studies is preferredWork and communication experience with CRO (or equivalent vendor for local medical researches) are highlight preferred≥ 7 years in relevant role in pharmaceutical industry or academia is mandatedAble to work on weekends for occasional business purposeAble to travel abroad for business purposeFor Current Gilead Employees and Contractors:Please log onto your Internal Career Site to apply for this job.
