Job Title:Manufacturing OperatorJob Description:Responsibilities:Under general supervision, coordinate and safely completes the duties of production, shipping, receiving, preventative maintenance and improvement teams. Specific duties include slurry batch making, quality testing, packaging, computer entry and various other production/warehousing activities.Primary Responsibilities:Promote teamwork among all associates.Ensure precise communication of all problems to Operations Associates and others as needed.Participate in performance assessment of Operations Associates.Be a role model and advocate for CMC values.Produce, package and prepare CMC products for shipment.Receive raw material and containers.Perform required data entry and record keeping.Perform required quality testing and inspections.Maintain safe and clean working environment.Immediately address any deviation to CMC values, procedures, policies, etc.Processes are routine but diverse with moderate complexity.Secondary Responsibilities:Develop and implement continuous improvement ideas.Lead plant safety initiatives.Perform miscellaneous production and warehouse related tasks (for example, cycle count, preventive maintenance, housekeeping, inventory, incident investigation)Develop leadership skills through training and practice.Requirements:Minimum (Must Have) Requirements (skills/level of knowledge and education/experience):Technical – Knowledge of manufacturing equipment and materials handling.Behavioral – Self-directed, ability to work with limited supervision, strong written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated leadership ability and team building skills.Computer - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Lotus Notes; experienced in ERP systems data entry.Education – High diploma or GEDExperience (specify years and kinds of experience) – 1 to 3 years of production or warehousing experience in a manufacturing environment. Leadership experience required.Licenses to drive forklift, handle boiler and chiller and other operation related equipmentPreferred (Not Must Have) Requirements (skills/level of knowledge and education/experience):Technical – Equipment maintenanceBehavioral – Flexibility to learn new skills and accept new responsibilities.Education – Associate Degree in a technical field or equivalent.Experience (specify years and kinds of experience) – 1 to 3 years in a chemical manufacturing plant
