The team invest client/fund assets, overseas the investment strategy and direct all trades of the relevant portfolio, within a product/asset class and ensure that the delivery of the portfolio commitment adheres to the appropriate governance guidelines, including any regulatory/legal restrictions that may impact the portfolio. They make decisions about investment mix and policy, matching investments to objectives, asset allocation for individuals and institutions and balancing risk against performance, based on a deep understanding of market developments, financial and economic trends. They participate in research meetings and client meetings as required, in support of asset management responsibilities.The Korea Financial Assets Management team’s primary responsibilities comprise of managing fixed income for large Korean institutional clients such as pensions and insurance companies. Focusing on the delivery of alpha returns vs the market while competing with our competitors. The portfolios managed are mostly discretionary mandates with no retail coverage.The team is comprised of portfolio managers, traders and credit analysts.Currently, the Korea Financial Assets team is looking for a junior credit analyst role that will support mainly the senior credit analyst, and the fixed income team ultimately providing services to Korean institutional clients.Role DetailsAs a Credit Research Analyst, you will be responsible for:
  • You will need to conduct fundamental credit analysis (industry / company level) and generate investment recommendations
  • Maintain credit universe, credit watch-list (monitor existing credit holdings and recommend appropriate actions
  • Perform the ESG analysis and produce regular / ad-hoc reports for internal and external clients
  • Support regular credit analysis reports requested by institutional clients
  • Support the team in generating performance/investment reviews and reports for institutional clients
  • Cooperate with the cross-functional team (e.g., marketing & sales, operations, and compliance)
  • Take on the position of the backup trader when the primary trader is not available
We are looking for
  • Research experience related to Company analysis within 2 years in Asset Mgt. firm, securities firm, credit rating agency, accounting firm, bank (internship included) preferred
  • College graduate without research or work experience can also apply for this position
  • Major in finance, economics, accounting or business administration preferred
  • CPA (KI, AI) / CFA / FRM / CIM (Certified Investment manager) certificate holder preferred
  • ESG related certificate, license or ESG analysis experience preferred
  • Excellent written/ verbal communication skill in Korean, proficient English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly in Excel, Macro, VBA
  • Good team player, with strong analytical and good communication skills
