The senior application researcher is a development partner for customer and is responsible for supporting in chromatography resin opportunity creation and seminar.The Team:The role reports to Application Manager directly. He/she works closely with all levels of the organization across multiple functions and interacts frequently with external customer contacts.What we are looking for:
- Education: BA or BS degree in Biotechnology or related field, Engineering and Biochemistry.
- M.S. preferred in similar fields or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Experience: More than 3 years work experience in pharmaceuticals/biotech/life science space, downstream process development, manufacturing & process validation
- Demonstrated ability to utilize the equipment for purification and analysis.
- Experience working on development projects in pharmaceuticals and biotechnology fields and should be able to establish purification process development or optimization using DOE (Design of Experiment) and others
- Experience working on documentation in pharmaceuticals and should be able to have capability of IND/IMPD and process validation documents.
- Preferred Skills/Qualifications: Strong technical process knowledge in protein purification, analysis and should be able to handle for FPLC, HPLC, etc.
- Should be able to discuss with customer’s organization for Test.
- Customer Orientation, interpersonal effectiveness and high level of collaborative behavior.
- Demonstrates a strong drive for results.
- Ability to build strong relationships customers and other Avantor team members.
- Flexibility to respond to changing priorities and shifting deadlines in a fast-paced working environment.
- Coordinate and support regional application-specific field technical development provide for lab or biopharmaceutical projects in the areas of Avantor chromatography resins.
- Provide technical seminar and training to improve Avantor chromatography brand awareness.
- Assist customers with product queries and applications troubleshooting including assisting with product selection decisions. Efficient and effective follow up of customer requests for information.
- Responsible in presenting and delivering product training to distributors and customers.
- Understands Avantor/VWR’s product offering and articulates a compelling scientific rationale for the use of Avantor products used in Bioprocess manufacturing.
- Understands the value drivers and technical requirements for customers
- To preserve and establish good rapport and relationship with internal stakeholders and provide assistance in any product and technical queries.
- Supports customers with technical expertise to qualify Avantor/VWR products during early project stages.
- Keep abreast with latest regulatory and compliance within the lab and pharma industry.
- Participate in the Company’s cross-functional organizational task force(s) if need be.
- Travels to and works at customer's site and leads projects to enhance the performance of Avantor’s products
